Who we are and what this covers
DAYKLUB LLC ("DAYKLUB", "we", "us") collects only what we need to sell you our products, deliver them and send you updates you asked for, and we never sell your personal information.
This policy covers dayklub.com, our online store and customer accounts, our email and text drop alerts, and our software, including Disc Vault (DV-1). DAYKLUB LLC is an Illinois limited liability company. If you have a question about this policy, contact us at dayklubofc@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us when you sign up for drop alerts, log in or buy something, plus technical data from your visit.
| What | Examples | When |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, email address, and phone number if you sign up for text alerts | You sign up for drop alerts, log in or buy |
| Order details | Products bought, order number, your Disc Vault license key, date, price, billing ZIP code and country | You buy |
| Payment details | Card number and billing details | Handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe, which also screens payments for fraud (Stripe Radar) and calculates sales tax (Stripe Tax); we never see or store your full card number |
| Support messages | What you send us and our replies | You contact us |
| Device and usage data | IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and homepage page views reported to Meta | You visit the website (see Cookies and analytics) |
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial account or government ID numbers.
Our software collects no data
Disc Vault runs entirely on your computer and does not connect to the internet, so it sends us nothing.
It does not collect, transmit or share your files, the sounds you load, your projects, your usage or any personal information. Your library, favourites and settings are stored only on your own computer. If a future version adds online features such as online activation or update checks, we will update this policy and tell you what is sent before it is sent.
Disc Vault unlocks with a license key. The key contains the name, email address and order number from your purchase. It is checked and saved only on your computer, and entering it sends nothing to us.
How we use your information
We use your information to fulfil orders, support you, and send emails only if you opted in.
- Process and deliver orders: take payment, email your receipt (sent by Stripe) and your welcome and login emails, give you access to your account and downloads, and issue refunds. (Basis: performing our contract with you.)
- Support: answer questions and fix problems. (Basis: contract and our legitimate interest in helping customers.)
- Drop alerts and announcements: news, releases and offers by email or text, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe or reply STOP at any time. (Basis: your consent.)
- Run, protect and promote the website: keep it working, prevent fraud and abuse, understand which pages are used, and measure and show our ads. (Basis: our legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it.)
- Legal duties: keep sales and tax records and respond to lawful requests. (Basis: legal obligation.)
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell ads. We do use the Meta pixel on our homepage for advertising (see Cookies and analytics), which some US state laws treat as "sharing" or targeted advertising, and you can opt out of it.
We share it only with:
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us, under contracts that limit how they use it: Stripe (payments, receipts, fraud screening and sales tax), Netlify (website hosting, downloads, and our customer and order records), Resend (welcome and login emails, sent from vault@dayklub.com), Laylo (drop alerts by email and text) and Squarespace Domains (our domain name).
- Advertising: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives page-view events from our homepage to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
- Authorities and advisers when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
- A buyer or successor if DAYKLUB LLC or its products are sold or merged, under this same policy.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses a login cookie, browser storage for the music player, and a few outside services.
- Login cookie (dk_session) keeps you logged in to your account for up to 90 days so you can download what you bought. It can't be switched off without logging you out.
- Browser storage remembers the music player's volume and position on your device. It never leaves your browser.
- Google Fonts loads the website's fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Meta pixel on our homepage tells Meta about page views so we can measure and target our ads. Where the law requires it, we ask your consent first, and you can opt out at any time (see Your rights and choices).
- Laylo runs our drop sign-up forms and sends the email and text alerts you sign up for.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them; where the law requires it, we honour Global Privacy Control signals.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep your information only as long as we need it, and we protect it with reasonable safeguards.
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 7 years).
- Email and text alert lists: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
- Accounts: as long as you have purchases with us, so you can log in and re-download them.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
We use providers with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access to accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in every email, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete your information.
- Everyone: email dayklubofc@gmail.com to access, correct or delete your information, or to ask how it's used. We may need to verify your identity, and we'll reply within 30 days (45 where state law allows).
- US state residents (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others with privacy laws): you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and any "sharing" of your information through the Meta pixel. To opt out, email us or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. You may use an authorised agent, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.
- EU, UK and Swiss residents: you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to your local data protection authority.
We may keep some information if the law requires it, for example order records for tax purposes.
Children, international visitors, changes and contact
- Children: our website and products are not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EU and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
- International visitors: we are based in the United States, so your information is processed in the US. Where required, our providers use approved safeguards for transfers.
- Changes: if we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also email subscribers or post a notice on the website.
